Storyline
In a dystopian Switzerland that has fallen under the fascist rule of a cheese magnate, Heidi lives as a simple young woman in the mountains. Grandfather Alpöhi does his best to protect his granddaughter from the bad influences of the world, but soon her longing for personal freedom will ignite the spark of a revolution. The naive girl becomes a fierce fighter who puts an end to the cheese fascists.
From “fondue boarding” to “death by chocolate”, MAD HEIDI is an action-adventure-splatter-comedy interpretation of the popular children’s book character Heidi and the first Swissploitation film – a satire on the Heimatfilm genre of the 50s with a twist into the exploitation genre of the 70s and 80s.
