Rocksteady – The Roots of Reggae is a musical journey into the golden age of Jamaican music. For the first time in 40 years, the legendary musicians of the Rocksteady era come together in Kingston to resurrect their music and tell us their story.
Recording sessions in the original Tuff Gong studio, rare archive footage and interviews with the artists at home and in historic locations paint a colourful picture of the legendary Rocksteady era and introduce the founders of this great musical legacy, including Bob Marley.
