THULETUVALU

A film by Matthias von Gunten

96 minutes, CH, 2014

Story
Two places on the edges of the earth are making the headlines due to climate change: Thule in Greenland, because the ice there is melting more and more, and Tuvalu, because this island state in the Pacific is one of the first countries at risk of sinking into the rising sea. While for us the warming of the planet takes place almost exclusively in the media, for the people of Thule and Tuvalu it changes their entire existence. ThuleTuvalu depicts in a visually stunning narrative how they have to say goodbye to the way of life they have always preserved and head for an unknown future.
The film has been shown at countless festivals on all continents.
